Honey and his Boys

The Daily Trip around the yard-

E felt sorry for Lawson because he had to slide by himself :)

This was HoneyDay- I mean Fathers Day.

Daddy came and went, if Ethan called him Daddy it was only for a short while. Honey is what he is known by now and it's so cute I can't find it in my heart to correct it!

Graduation

Lawson Graduated First in his class of Spoiled Rotten at Mrs. Linda's

"What do you mean they aren't going to ask me what I want for lunch at Big School"

Thank you Father-

Thank you Father for this little one. Thank you for his health. Thank you for blessing me with his precious heart. Recently we were terrified brain surgery was in his future. We are thrilled with a much different future. All the same, I look upon him in a much different light. Do not get caught with busy, checking things off your list...slow way down...listen to their laughs, really listen...Praising my Father for blessing me with two amazing boys.

When it rains...

I think of this....
Hosea 6:3
Let us strive to know the Lord.
His appearance is as sure as the dawn.
He will come to us like the rain,
like the spring showers that water the land.

Easter Morning Excitement

We had lots of Easter Morning Excitement! There was the beautiful sunrise service, Ethan telling me no momma no momma no, Lawson telling us his head wanted to get up but his rear end didn't, me running outside floodlights glaring to gather roses, the farmer weary looking rough, and the wonderful conversation on the way to the service.
Beautiful Words, Beautiful Flowers, Beautiful Service!
Breakfast I didn't have to cook!
Baskets when we got home!

Ethan Candy Rowe and Lawson Loving his new Devotion Rowe!
I wonder now if he loved it as much as he said or if it was because I had told him no matter what anyone does for you today even if they bought you lipsick you tell them thank you and you love it!

P.S. I do NOT want this post to be deceiving in any way! My House is a mess. I raked all the toys back behind me! My house does NOT smell like pinesol...but after all they are NOT going to remember what our house smelled like but the time we spent together-Proverbs 31 ministries!

What did you get Brother?

ohhhh what did you get brother?

Calvary!

Roman Soldiers aka, Superman and The Flash...they were no match for Jesus! This was one battle they lost!

Falling like dead men....

The stone was rolled away!

Jesus Arose!!!!

Later that day: Mommy, remember they were excited when Jesus wasn't there!

Egg Hunt

Lawson Gettin Crafty

I think Ethan found four but he was so proud of himself!

Lawson being the oldest of the bunch was running wild like the hamburgler!

Busted: Lawson sneaking in some brother love!

Just Boys in Booooots

A Beautiful day to put on your Boots and Be outside!

Good Friday!

Friday was so much MORE than a Mommy Day!
Our sins He died for us!

For E's

For Lawson's

For Kristi!

Friday morning's devotion was all about what He did for us. We wore reminders throughout the day. We thanked God for His Son and the Love that was poured out that day...Lawson and I joined hands bowed our heads and began to pray. Ethan stepped in quitely grabbed Lawson's hand and mine and bowed his head and closed his eyes, I don't know who was more excited me or Lawson....

The Farmer

Pray for the farmer. I can not tell you how hard the farmer works the week the chickens leave and the week after...now add that terrible LT to the mix and it makes it even harder. He does not complain, but I can see it in his eyes, his walk, and his diet! What is left of the farmers hard work was being loaded onto trucks this morning. The first "catch crew" was late, big shock there...something always happens. It is now I can choose to grumble or complain, or encourage and support! Help me encourage and support, lift the farmer up to The only one who can give him strength!

The Rubberband-

If you see me, you will see the rubberband I am sporting around my wrist. I expect so much from my 5year old Lawson Rowe boy sometimes when he does something totally 5year oldish I spaz. Forgetting his age and my tone. I found myself loosing my cool more often than not. And always feeling bad and asking my Father and Lawson for forgiveness and always Repeating.

The Lord placed a special devotion in my path from Women Living Well Blog, in it I found:
Our children need their mommy's time. They need us to take the time to look into their little eyes and tell them they are loved. They need us to just sit and listen to their goofy story. They need us to look up the answer to that weird question they have, that we don't know the answer to - but they are really interested in. And they NEED us to take the time to read them God's word and train them to do what is right.
Deuteronomy 6:7 says it is the parents job to teach our children God's commands. "Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up." The only way to live out Deuteronomy 6:7 is by giving your children time talking together.
Lawson is a Gift. His heart is fragile. WE are learning and I am to train him- not spaz on him, or get frustrated with him-I can recall a recent spaz where I was asking Lawson for forgiveness and I told him I didn't know how to be a mommy -insert scared look on his face- and that I don't always make the right choices.

The devotion spoke to me where I was at. I need to be more FLEXable, like a rubberband. I wear it as a reminder of the amazing Gift God gave me. The child I prayed for. The child that makes my heart skip a beat when he calls me "momma bear".-That's another story!

So this new bling is...a reminder of my Gift.

It really came in handy yesterday when Lawson hid on the bottom shelf of the paper towel isle in WalMart and I thought he was gone forever for the second time-some of you may recall the last time he did this-but didn't come out!

L-date

TBall season is in full swing! Speaking of seasons Ecclesiastes 3:1To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: Rewind with me to our hill of Calvary last year. That was the season in which Lawson started to understand his sin was why Jesus had to die...Fastforward to Tball picking time: Coach Nathan Williams picked Lawson thinking that was Bucky's son...Fastforward again to the day Mr. Nelson passed from this earth into eternity to be with Jesus..Fastforward to the funeral home where Lawson had to tell Coach Nathan he was sorry about Mr. Nelson ("but I didn't kill him, why am I sorry") Lightbulb moment for Lawson...see how God works! Isn't it grand! He was in ready position just like he is waaaaaaay back there in out field! The night of Monday March 28, devotion on a little bird that died developed into death again and Mr. Nelson and where he is and how he got there. Without any warning, Lawson closes his eyes and bowed his head and said "Jesus come into my heart" looks at me and smiles. "That is how Libby talks" He goes from serious to silly in 15 seconds....My mouth is still open by the way and I am speechless. I asked him a few questions. He is convinced now he will go to heaven with Jesus and not to the fire (and we don't talk about the fire much)...Bed time-come back and talk to me some more about heaven, okay..... I come back to find him sleeping and so peaceful! Rats, I wanted to talk...so talking is what we are doing. He brings up the fact that he made the right choice, He knows all the answers but did he make his mind up or his heart? We are praying for him and his little heart! If that wasn't "it" it was most definitely the start of something wonderful!

E-date

Just a little E update on what is going on in his world coming up on 2 years of age. If you had to sigh when you read that join the club! I am not sure I want to know what he is planning in this photo, what jump he plans landing, or at what rate of speed but if you could have heard his motor you would know he didn't plan on being on both tires for long! I think I need to do a chest protector donation at his birthday party! Looks innocent doesn't he? He is a mess! He likes to play tball, be outside, and drink milk! oh and markers, skip the crayons "pass me the marker and make it a washable one while you are at it"....this brings him such Joy! Go Cart built for one...too bad daddy backed his truck over it the other day :(
Close your eye's if you can't take it, this little boy is growing up!

Birthday for Betty Lou!

My "Mamaw" Betty Lou celebrated her 84 Birthday on February 18. We had cake and presents....I almost did not go. Can you believe that? I almost missed this sweet woman's birthday bash! This precious lady spent countless hours caring for me when I was sick, sewing a quilt for me, making me chocolate milk and sugar toast, teaching me how to call in "free kittens to give away" on Helping Hand, and taught me the Lord's prayer. I do not want to forget how cold her bedroom was and how I used to snuggle in between her and my "PaPaw" and we would say the Lord's prayer before bed. She has forgotten a lot over the past three years but in that moment she remembers me and says my name, all is well in my world. She said it that night, the night of her 84 Birthday party and smiled at me, "Kristi", "yes mam" I said holding back the tears. I just thought I was coming to gift her that night and she gave me so much more!

January 2011

We CAN NOT ring in the new year with out some fireworks and friends! This was just before the lighting of the "chicken on a chain" Sled built for this one time snow event! The deck steps made a nice hill to slide down... Not sure if I like this or not but I do not and I repeat DO NOT want to go back inside! Now we are talking!

Christmas 2010

We started a new tradition this year. We filled a package for Jesus and put it under the tree. Some were acts of kindness, some where purchases for starving children...but most of all it was full of love! Happy Birthday Jesus-

Stinky was a hit!

So was the Weeble Tree House!

Sweet Baby!

My heart is overflowing with joy this morning and my eyes are spilling over as a result. I am so very thankful for my two beautiful boys, well I think they are beautiful. I am wondering how Mary felt when she held Jesus in her arms for the first time. As a mother, I know she thought he was the most perfect baby ever, oh how right she was....perfect in every way. Oh how she probably wished that he would never experience heartache, pain, or dissappointment. That she could keep him safe from harm....but Jesus was born to die. To die for me and for you.

This Christmas as we celebrate the birth of our Saviour, our gift from our Father, consider your gift to Him. What are you getting Jesus for Christmas?

The Rowes have been much in prayer and thought about the perfect gift.
Here is some of our chatter:
Lawson thought the nativity's his daddy made was the perfect gift.
We are trying to steer him into a different direction...
me-what about buying a milk goat for a family who has none, imagine your life without milk...Jesus wants us to help others...
lsr-a goat that pee's milk...
me-son its not peeing milk...it has special spots for milk...
lsr-oh...good...
Stay Tuned for "the Gift we gave"
